For those of you with dogs that play a lot together, this will look familiar. Right before the action commences, there is a stare down phase that can last for a bit.

It's not easy to get all of the girls to stay in formation for a group portrait, but when they do, it's so precious. Ginger has learned from the others to sit quite nicely, and even put on a good smile. Here's a portrait of the pack and four smiles to help brighten your day

ZuZu has a unique way of shaking off the water. Her shakes start at her head, and then work through the middle sections and finally a very vigorous butt shake ends her shake cycles. It's efficient no doubt, and gives us a few chuckles every time.

As the youngest of the pack (3 and 1), ZuZu and Ginger spend a LOT of time chasing each other and playing. On this August morning . . .

ZuZu is Daddy's BFF, at least for much of the day. In the mornings, she is all about Mommy, which makes for a great day for both of us. Happy 3rd Birthday ZuZu!

What a year it's been Ginger, happy 1st birthday our little one, and many more!

Ginger grabbed the baseball glove I used as a kid and walked around like she was ready to play. Of course, there's no playing catch, it's more like I throw and you fetch, bring it back, and do it all again.

Ginger loves to grab the leash and walk herself around while whining and carrying on. After a walk one day, Ginger took ZuZu's leash and was very proud as she lead ZuZu around, for just a little bit anyway.
